Custom Made Cushions – Getting Other Quotes?
We get it! When you are comparing quotes and companies to purchase quality custom cushions from, here’s a few things to ask before you give the go ahead.
1. Is the fabric appropriate for your lifestyle?
There are many different fabric options available in Australia for cushions. Medium range fabrics are a popular choice for comfortable cushions as there are numerous options, known for their durability, longevity and performance characteristics, but most of all are easy care.
Cheaper ‘sun-tough’ fabrics are an economical alternative however they have a coarse feel, are designed for light domestic use only and must be carefully hand washed.
2. Does the company have good Google reviews?
This is by far the best place to see unbiased reviews of not only the company’s products but also their service. It’s no use saving a few dollars to go with a cheaper company if they have a bad reputation or don’t have any public reviews.
3. Is the lead time transparent and suitable to your needs?
Companies should be fully transparent about their lead times, so that you are never kept guessing when your new cushions are going to arrive. A 10-day completion should be achievable in some cases and at no extra charge.
4. Have you had professional and efficient communication from them so far?
If you have had to wait for days for a call back or response, imagine how long it will take to make your cushions! If prompt and efficient customer service is not a priority, the company could be very frustrating to deal with.
5. Can you SPEAK to a REAL person if you need an urgent answer or update?
Are you able to speak to a real person if you need a quick answer about your project? Is there a phone number shown? Or can you only speak to a chatbot or send them an email and wait for a reply? Better still, can you visit a Studio to discuss your cushion options face to face?
6. Are the cushions Australian Made?
This may or may not be important to you but if your cushions are made overseas and there is a problem with them, imagine the lengthy delays in getting them re-made.
7. Is there a Lifetime Warranty on the Workmanship?
Any reputable company should have a Lifetime Workmanship Warranty on every cushion they make. If they don’t, checkout the fine print on their refund policy.
8. Are you comparing apples with apples?
Cushion companies may use different descriptions in their quotes and sometimes that means a substandard product is being offered. Are you getting a good quality cushion, with soft fabric and comfy foam or are you getting a cheaper alternative that is too uncomfortable to sit on?
