When Using Customer’s Own Fill or Foam

When we make new cushions for outdoor chairs for you and the new cushion covers are to go over your existing foam, there are few things to consider:

1. If your foam is super soft or is not a ‘high density’ foam, the foam may buckle with the new cushion covers. This is because a high density foam is normally cut bigger than the cushion covert so that it pushes out the foam to give the cushion a plush look.
2. On the other hand, your existing foam maybe firm, without any extra allowance, and new cushion covers may look baggy. We will add dacron ( wadding ) to each cushion cover, which will fill any gaps that may appear in this scenario.
3. If the foam has existing mould or dirt, it is very possible that the warranty on the fabric MAY be null and void. This is due to the fabric becoming exposed to potential mould that will become embedded in the fabric. This could also impact on the longevity of the covers.
